It’s been yet another busy and buzzing week that has passed us by here at the Red Cross, with some incredible live music throughout the weekend, along with some great live sport.
During the week, the pub was as busy as it usually is, with multiple groups coming in to watch the FA Cup 3rd Round Replays, with the stand-out game being Norwich taking Chelsea all the way to a penalty shootout, narrowly losing out to them in the end which would’ve been a huge upset for the Premier League Club.
The weekend kicked off with a bang, with the awesome Duo of Innes & Mr.T performing live in the pub, which everyone truly enjoyed as it out everyone in the best of moods for the upcoming weekend.
Saturday then saw some more live sport on offer, with Chelsea hammering Brighton 4-0 to start the day off, followed by Man City comprehensively seeing off Newcastle 3-1. This was then all round off by a great night if live music from the brilliant Gridlocked, playing some belting songs which got the whole pub up, dancing and singing!
Sunday then saw Spurs struggle to a draw against Southampton, ending 1-1 at Full Time. We also witnessed 2 incredible games if NFL, with both the Patriots and Eagles winning their Championship Games, setting up what should be a great Super Bowl Final in 2 weeks time! Sunday evening then saw our Open Mic Night take place, with Tom Hughes hosting, which once again bought some great musical talent to the pub as they proceeded to play some great music throughout the evening.
We now look towards what should be another great week of live music and Sport here at the Red Cross, with Friday bringing in Drew-Levi, a new act here at the Red, Saturday seeing the amazing and ever-popular Brute Choir performing, and Sunday we have the talented Andy Cranham rounding off the week!
