Beer Festival Tasting Notes

We are pleased to announce that we will be showcasing the following beers at our 5th Annual Beer Festival.  So why not pop in and try some!

Logo1 Windsor and Eton Brewery – Knight of the Garter
Flaxen-coloured, easy drinking Golden Ale, brewed with American  Amarillo whole leaf hops giving a distinctive fresh citrus aroma reminiscent of cut grapefruit.
Logo2 West Berkshire Brewery – Mr Chubb’s Lunchtime bitter
This beautifully balanced session ale has a refreshing light floral flavour provided by a single variety of English hops. Mr Chubbs was the nickname given to the founder’s father, a lock keeper on the River Thames.
Logo3 Good Old Boy
A classic bitter brewed with a blend of rich malted barley and fruity hops to produce an exceptionally well-balanced and full-flavoured beer.
Logo4 Pilgrim Brewery – Excalibur
Light in colour with a fine malt body balanced by bitterness
logo5 Quest
Light on the palate with a restrained hop structure. A mix of hops from the Continent, America and New Zealand give the beer a floral, lime note.
logo6 Longman Brewery – American Pale Ale
Made using only the choicest U.S. hops the triple-hopped American Pale Ale has pleasant citrus fruit aroma and characteristic robust bitterness.
logo7 Dorking Brewery – DB1
A refreshing light amber ale with a full fruity, hoppy flavour and a long satisfying medium bitter finish.
logo8 Isle Of Purbeck Brewery – Studland Bay Wrecked
A deep red amber ale with rich malt and caramel flavours, combined with a subtle spicy aroma which gives a smooth, full flavour.
logo9 Surrey Hills Brewery – Guilt complex
A huge hop aroma introduces the “King of the Golden Beers.” There is a hint of spice in the fruity flavour and a long finish that completes this classic beer.
logo10 Twickenham Brewery – Naked Ladies
Outstanding hoppy beer using Pilgrim, Celia and Chinook hops for full-flavoured satisfaction. Good body and luscious aroma.   Inspired by the statues of water nymphs in York house gardens in Twickenham.
logo11 Purity Brewery – Pure Gold
A refreshing golden ale with a dry and bitter finish. Brewed with English Maris Otter, Caragold and Wheat malts, plus Hallertau Northern Brewer, Bobeck and Hereford Goldings hops. Winner of nine awards
