28th August weeks round up

The last Bank Holiday of the year has officially passed and we had a great one with a cracker line up of sport and music!

We started with Monday night football, Man City v Everton that ended 1 – 1, we had a good turn out and again on Tuesday even with not so great sport for the day.

Wednesday saw Liverpool qualify for Champions League in style beating Hoffenheim 4-2 and 6-3 overall!

Thursday again more Merseyside teams breaking into Europe with Everton drawing with Hajduk Split and winning 3-1 overall to break into Europa League!

Now the weekend!

Friday didn’t really have anything in the way of sport but we had a better to offer…The Happy Jacks!

After a great gig for Charity at the Blue Anchor they came to us and carried on the party and the pub was rocking! They played an awesome set and we were full until the very end.

Saturday we just carried it on with some more football during the day. Bournemouth v Man City early doors ending 1-2 and later Man United v Leicester which saw United carry on their winning streak ending 2-0. This all got topped off with a great set from Trust Me Jack! Again we had a ripper of a night and we still had another day to go!

Finally we made it to Sunday and we had a small start to the football with West Brom v Stoke ending in a 1 – 1 draw. We had a bigger game next with Liverpool v Arsenal ending in an embarrassing 4-0 loss for Arsenal…A great game with loads of chances. We ended the night with Rebecca Riedtmann and Tom Hughes in a way we haven’t seen them before! Rebecca took centre stage in her band for the first time at the Red Cross! She was amazing as were the band…A great gig and we can’t wait to have them back. By the end of the night we packed out and it was brilliant! A great end to the week

Next week we have an international break!

Friday we see Malta v England at 7.45pm. There is also both Lithuania v Scotland and San Marino v Northern Ireland playing at 7.45pm…we will have to flip a coin on the night for which one we put on!! We’ll then follow that up with live music from Ben Hackett is back to play for us!

Saturday, Wales are against Austria and we later see Best Chilled on the stage for some great music!

Sunday night Craig Dutton is in for a gig, so you best come join us!

See you then!
